2011 wrap up and glimpse of 2012 and beyond...

We had some studio shots taken when Lucien is at his cutest stage of his life......

Sometime soon, probably in the summer of 2012 I will make it to Waikiki, or Magic Island Ala Moana, or Kailua Beach.....for some fun times with my family.

And of course, with my ever loving daddy...

Daddy will teach me to handle a firearm, a Glock of course...

And make me a child music prodigy....daddy has already ordered a Laubin oboe for me which takes 6 years to make and hasve it ready for me....

And to fly like daddy...

Lucien's 2nd Xmas. Now that he is 14 months old and able to enjoy hs daddy's Xmas feast.

Instead of the usual turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, voila.......we have this.....

Tandoor free range chicken roasted in a rotisserie oven.

Instead of stuffing, we have biryani cooked with chicken stock and coconut milk, garnished with pine nuts, walnuts and cashews. Topped off with shallots fried in ghee.

The starter is methu vadai and sambar soup.

FIRST TRIP OVERSEAS

 Lucien is 13 months old on Nov 23, 2011. First trip out of China. We spent the night at Venetian in Macao.

We watched Amadeus the movie, and now everytime Mozart plays on the stereo, Lucien begins to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic.

Advance Crawl 101

Baby has progressed to Advance Crawl. He is beginning to get up and stand on his own.

Yesterday, while playing Mozart, he began waving his arms like a conductor and in tempo too. Try to get a shot of this event. He has sat through the movie Amadeus, maybe that is where he learned it.

When Lucien was a month old, he had his first taste of probably Thai durians which we bought from Vanguard in Zhuhai. Aunt Connie wanted to try the quality of the durians in China and was disappointed.

14 June 2011, I brought durians from Singapore which came from my usual vendor in Geylang Lor 21 who claimed that the durians came from Cameron Highlands. They were the best I have tasted for a long time. At 7 1/2 months old, I am not sure he has acquired the taste for the "king of fruits". At this stage, Lucien seems to put everything in his mouth.

After about 7 months, the breast milk is gettng scarce and also without the usual nutritional value. Consistency is almost like water. So it is time at 8 months, we are try to cut off breast milk and instead give him egg custard, fruit and bone marrow flavored congee boiled in a slow cooker for hours. He still needs the milk powder to supplement but refuses from time to time because it comes out of a bottle with a fake rubber nipple. We found if we trick him, instead using a bowl and a spoon, he seems to be ok with the milk powder.

FIRST CRAWL - AN ACHIEVEMENT 7 MONTHS 7 DAYS

Lucien learns to crawl after 3 days of intensive teaching. Finally, he learns to crawl for "goal objective"  on 31 May 2011 Tuesday. His goal was to retrieve Wolfie coaster.
